WTB. What the Blog?

When I was younger, I often read car magazines. We never had computers at home, but there were mac computers in school that only ran DOS. Internet wasn’t even out yet and newspapers were the my reading tools growing up.
I remember when I used to blog on this website called Geocities, which was about 12 years ago, ranting, raving, and talking about non-sense. I really had no idea what to do with my blog page back then. As time passed, I’ve been working within the public relations field. Our company deals with Journalists and bloggers, and I have yet to know anything about my clients work or have read any of my clients work. The one thing I have read as a kid, which were car magazines, is now a major part of my job and I have no clue as to what the journalists or bloggers go through on a daily basis.
The point is this, I came here to learn how my clients (which are bloggers and journalists) do their job and so that one day I could blog myself. I want to pay attention to my clients work so that I know what is going on and the trends are today.
I mentioned that I used to rant and rave when I blogged, having no idea what my blog page was all about back then. Today, I work with bloggers and I used to ask myself, why are they getting paid for this? This class should give me a better understanding of what bloggers and journalists do for a living. Also, this class should give me a handle on how public relations personnel and journalists can work together, hand-in-hand.
