Targeting My Value Proposition

As we all struggle to figure out our personal brands in class, sitting and listening to each and everyone of you present yourself, really got me thinking about mine. They different ways each and everyone of us is targeting our markets and connecting through social media.

I began to reach out through the Neiman Marcus Blog and commenting and showing my interest in their company. As I spoke in class I also reach out on there Facebook and Twitter account. I began to update myself on new trends and what is going on with the company. Really keeping my interest.

Another target strategy I began to use was reading into the Internship program. I began to read the description on what I would learn and how I would be working to build my way into the company. It looked very interesting and after graduating I plan to reach out and possibly do the internship.

Some other companies that I thought that would help me reach my target market in my personal brand would be Nordstrom's and Macy's. These two companies I follow on Facebook and look at their current styles and trends. They have been featuring a lot of Neiman Marcus styles and fashion.

By our next meet in class I plan to take Perri's advice and have a portfolio on how I am reaching out to my target market.

Good Luck with reaching out to your personal brands everyone :)

  3. Thanks Ashley - this has the potential to be a GREAT blog post. Some suggestions: 1) proofread ... typos; 2) link to the Neiman Marcus sites from this post; 3) summarize what you learned from the sites (be specific) - e.g., what are the top 3 things you learned through this monitoring; 4) short paragraphs - no more than 2 sentences in a paragraph. -Perri
