My Two Weeks Working in my New Job

I just started a new job two weeks ago with an Automotive Events company called Automotive Marketing Consultants while working in my current full time company. I am happy that my full time is okay with me going to work for Automotive Marketing Consultants so that I can grow in the events part of the automotive industry.

During these two weeks while working in events, I experienced more hardship and stress while balancing school and work. Travel is a big deal when it comes to automotive events, the company travels all 50 states and including other countries.

My ultimate goal is to finish this degree because it is a must in order to work for an automotive manufacturer. I have met different people from different manufacturers and I have to say it had been a good experience so far.

I have been doing promotions, product specialty, right side driving, and some public relations for 4 years with my full time job. For the first time in the industry that I have been working for, I am learning more outside the company that I have helped for so long.

Automotive Marketing Consultants, have been helping KIA with market research throughout the country and I have been itching to learn this part of the industry where I would like to take my future. I look forward in the next few months of what I would be learning with the company and so far my work paid off.

They had offered me more work and around my schedule, which is very helpful since I am in school. The next stop is going to be in Boston and I hope they send me to the Superbowl to do work because they have done some work in the past few Superbowls.

I will keep you updated in what I have learned and hope this goes somewhere.

  1. Artis - it sounds like you are juggling a lot ... I like how you used your blog post to sort it through. Think about organizing your thoughts ... If I were to retitle this post "Juggling Multiple Automotive Priorities," how would the text in the post read? -Perri

  2. Wow you've got a lot on your plate. I understand being stressed, though I don't know how you can do a full time job, consulting, travel, and college classes.

However, I think that it is a great skill to have, juggling all of your work. With your future, they will see that you can multitask, work diligently, be reliable, and still get the jobs done.

    Good luck!
